In Spring 2024, I taught MATH 4573: Elementary Number Theory at OSU. This folder contains all of the files I created for this class when I taught it.

Here are some additional notes on the class:

-All of my grading was done through Gradescope. The HW's, class project, midterm and final exam all have rubrics on there for the students to view after they are graded.

-I had a grader for this course; she helped with grading the HW (I provided her with HW solutions).

-Solutions to the homework and exams can be provided upon your request; however, I tend to not want to share them too much.

-The only prerequisite for this course is OSU's MATH 3345: Foundations of Higher Mathematics.

-The student body of my class was diverse: out of the 13 students, 6 were math majors and 3 were math minors; almost half were computer science majors. Also, 7 students were graduating that semester.

-Abstract algebra was not a prerequisite for this course, which made some topics more difficult to cover. If I were to teach this course again, I would either spend more time on basic group theory, or use a different book (such as Silverman's "A Friendly Introduction to Number Theory") and focus on different topics instead.
